About us
Filmquadrat.dok GmbH is an independent film production company based in Munich. We produce exciting high-quality documentary films in cooperation with renowned authors and filmmakers mainly for public television, but also for corporations and for theatrical release. Many of our films are made in co-production with European producers and supported by national and European film funding.
Filmquadrat.dok stands for award-winning and engaging stories that emphasize the personal experience of our protagonists. We want to entertain with our non-fiction formats and give an understanding of foreign cultures and societies in an exciting way, without losing the focus for the important contents. And we succeed!
Since January 2013 filmquadrat.dok developed a second arm within the company focusing on creative documentaries and international co-productions. Ever since it completed the Korean/German co-production “With or Without You” (90 min, ZDF/arte, DR TV; Aljazeera Networks, The Buddhist Broadcasting Foundation) and has - beside “Samia” - several other feature lengths documentaries in development.
Filmquadrat.dok has its own technical infrastructure like HD cameras and Avid editing suites. In addition, we offer production services for producers.
